Port City Colombo Visas



Visa Details

Investor Visa


Tenor: Ten (10) years

Fee: USD 200 per Annum

Qualification Criteria: The minimum investment in the Colombo Port City shall be a sum of USD 100,000 for 05 years or a sum of USD 200,000 for 10 years.

Additional Benefits:

  • Visa may be obtained for the spouse and dependents.
  • The spouse is permitted to work only in the Colombo Port City.



Obtaining Visas

Visa Request

Submit an application for requesting Landing Endorsement to obtain Colombo Port City Visas (Investor/Business/Employee/Residential Property Lessee - Foriegn Nationality only) and the relevant supporting documents to applications@portcity.gov.lk for review.

Our Recommendation

The Colombo Port City Economic Commission recommends the issuance of Landing Endorsement, to Department of Immigration and Emigration of Sri Lanka.

Department of Immigration and Emigration Review

The Department of Immigration and Emigration of Sri Lanka reviews and approves or rejects the Landing Endorsement.

Payment

If the Department of Immigration and Emigration of Sri Lanka has approved the Landing Endorsement, an email is sent to the provided email address (in the Request for the Grant of Landing Endorsement Form), to make the payment.

Issuance of Landing Endorsement

Upon receipt of the payment, the Landing Endorsement will be issued directly to the applicant by the Department of Immigration and Emigration of Sri Lanka.


Notes


  1. An Authorised Person is as per the Colombo Port City Economic Commission Act No 11 of 2021.
  2. Fees payable as per DIE regulations and/or the Colombo Port City Economic Commission, of USD 200 Per Annum.
  3. Applicants may arrive Sri Lanka using a Landing Endorsement issued by the Department of Immigration and Emigration and obtain the resident VISA within 30 days from the date of arrival.
  4. The applicant shall submit a Police report from the country of his last residence or from his home country as per the passport.
  5. A health care plan obtained from a recognized private hospital in Sri Lanka shall be submitted along with a report screened tested for four diseases (Tuberculosis, Malaria, AIDS, and Filariasis) at the time of submission of visa application. The health care plan should cover emergency care, primary outpatient care, treatment for diseases identified during health assessment.
  6. To apply for a Colombo Port City Resident Visa for a spouse and dependent, certified copies of the marriage certificate and birth certificates of the children must be submitted. If these certificates are in a language other than English, they should be translated into English and certified by the appropriate authority.
